Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), also known by the trade name Plexiglas, was developed in 1928 in several different laboratories by many chemists. Laser cutting may be used to form intricate designs from PMMA sheets. However, the pulsed laser cutting introduces high internal stress along the cut edge, where on exposure to solvents will produce undesirable "stress-crazing" at the cut edge and several millimeters deep. Quartz is a mineral composed of silica, found widely in igneous and metamorphic rocks and typically occurring as colorless or white hexagonal prisms. It's the second most abundant mineral in Earth's continental crust, behind feldspar. Mars is a British chocolate bar. It was invented in 1932 in England. In 2008, Mars UK reduced the weight of regular bars from 62,5g to 58g. Although the reduction in size was not publicized at the time, Mars claimed the change was designed to help tackle the obesity crisis in the UK. The company later confirmed that the real reason for the change was rising costs. In 2013, the "standard" Mars bar was further reduced to 51 g. Ibuprofen is a medication in the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) class that is used for treating pain, fever, and inflammation. The wholesale cost in the developing world is between 0,01 and 0,04 USD per dose.
